About Grant Crafters

Clarity. Strategy. Impact.

Every meaningful organization begins with why—a clear reason that fuels the work, the people, and the change they’re striving for. But even the strongest “why” can lose momentum without the right resources behind it.

That’s where Grant Crafters comes in.

Founded by Lara Zawacki, MPA, Grant Crafters helps small nonprofits articulate their purpose, align their strategy, and secure the funding that sustains impact. Lara brings over 15 years of nonprofit experience—translating community insight into fundable plans that resonate with both logic and heart.

Her approach is straightforward: listen deeply, clarify intent, and craft narratives that connect mission to measurable outcomes. The result is more than a proposal—it’s a framework for growth and accountability.

Grant Crafters exists to give local changemakers the tools, structure, and confidence to move from vision to execution. Because clarity isn’t just about words—it’s about direction.

My work in grant strategy began long before I knew what a grant was. As a kid, I learned what it meant to speak up for someone who wasn’t being heard—and I never stopped. Over time, that instinct became a discipline: helping organizations put language and structure around the change they’re already creating.

Grant Crafters was born from that same belief—that clarity and strategy can level the playing field. I’ve seen small, under-resourced nonprofits do extraordinary things once they have the right plan and the right words. My role is to help them find both.
